One year, while living on Kent Island (a small island in the Chesapeake Bay) I was so weary of the traditional turkey or goose for Christmas dinner that I made a Bouillibasse instead. My husband & I enjoyed the change, our children turned down the invitation to dinner and my parents, who had flown in for the season, never stopped talking about the year Lily ruined Christmas by serving "Old Fish Soup".

I don't regret making it that year but haven't done it since!!!
It's a wonderful dish for seafood lovers but maybe not the perfect choice for everyones' Christmas dinner.
